The New BC Recyclepedia Smart Phone App
Finding your closest recycling depot is now at the tips of your fingers with the new BC Recyclepedia smart phone App (http://rcbc.bc.ca/services/recyclepedia-app). This app, developed by The Recycling Council of BC (RCBC), in partnership with the Society for Promoting Environmental Conversation (SPEC), is a simple tool that allows its users to find the nearest drop-off locations and recycling options.
The free app is a mobile version of the existing Recyclepedia service offered on the RCBC webpage and helps users locate over 1,000 drop-off locations and recycling options for over 70 materials – including used oil and antifreeze! Recyclepedia will provide users a list of 10 nearest depots using your phone’s geo-finder, as well directions using Google map and contact information.
