From the Rockies to Shuswap Lake

June 15, 2011

The drive from Radium Hot Springs to Golden was incredibly beautiful. Tiffany and I couldn’t help but sing those familiar Canadian songs we learned way back in elementary school, such as “This Land is Your Land” and “Canada Is.” We tried to sing each song in full, but couldn’t quite remember all the words, so it turned into some off key humming/mumbling. Quite the fun drive!

The highway also had a dozen or so of these neat little tunnels to go through.

We even saw our first black bear of the trip. Unfortunately we didn’t have our camera out, but we did have to stop on the highway to allow the bear to cross… We can report he made it safely and no bears were harmed in the making of this sentence.

After Golden we headed to Revelstoke, where we popped into their local registered collection facility and even found a new business willing to join the program.

From there, we were Sicamous bound! We visited the two facilities in town: Sicamous Auto Repair & Integra Tire.
