Nanaimo-Duncan
Tiffany and I had a great time visiting Nanaimo yesterday. We met with all 10 collection facilities in the city (use the map on the right to see the return collection facilities).
Today we visited Chemainus, Crofton and Salt Spring Island. Neither of us had been to Salt Spring before so it was an exciting visit to Ganges.>
After Salt Spring, we headed south toward Duncan where we popped into some more return collection facilities. The Canadian Tire gave us a thorough tour of their facility. They had tubes set up around the shop that collects all the used oil and antifreeze and sends it all to the appropriate storage tanks. A very clean and efficient system!
…We also found the World’s Largest Hockey Stick!
Tomorrow we look forward to finishing up our tour of Duncan by visiting the Meade Creek Drop-Off Depot, and then highway bound to Victoria.
