Day 49: Conquering the Skeena – Bulkley Valley
From Terrace, Michelle and I headed West – way out west, to the end of the Trans-Canada Highway 16 in fact, in Prince Rupert. As you can see in the picture below it was a very rainy, gray day. As Prince Rupert is famous for their seafood, we did get some amazing halibut for dinner!
Here we are at the Kal Tire, located at 943 Chamberlin Ave.
Next we headed back to Smithers where we spent one night earlier in the trip. We were again astounded at the natural beauty of the area.
Doesn’t the Canadian Tire sign look amazing with the mountains behind it?
Here’s a picture from our walk to the twin falls –the license plates are right, BC is the best place on earth!
Here I am at the Midway Race Trac Gas Station in Telkwa. When we stopped by to see how the program was going, Leroy was very busy helping all the many customers filling up. Nevertheless, he took to the time to answer all our questions very nicely and let us know how well it has been going accepting used oil from the public.
Next week we’re heading south to Kamloops through Valemount, Clearwater and Barriere.
