Day 46: The Ambassador Team Survived the Alaska Highway!

August 14, 2009

The next stop is Dawson Creek, to visit the local return collection facilities in this town bordering Alberta. The ambassador was very excited about visiting this city particularly because it is home to mile ‘0’ of the Alaska Highway!

The Alaska Highway may have had a reputation for being treacherous and something to be survived, rather than enjoyed, but it was smooth sailing in Bubbles all the way up to Fort St. John. The highway was smoothly paved and the scenery was amazingly beautiful. Every turn brought new green hills, rocky valleys and picture perfect bubbling rivers. This was an experience that every British Columbian should have!

With beautiful nature all around Dawson Creek, we encourage every single local to return their used oil, filters, and plastic oil containers to one of the 8 local return collection facilities. Remember, every drop of oil makes a difference to our environment!
