Day 28: Driving Along the Okanagan Lake Shores

Continuing our travels through the fabulously hot and sunny Okanagan-Similkameen Regional District, we visited Okanagan Falls, Penticton and Westbank. These three towns have an encouraging variety of collection facilities to ensure that everyone in this beautiful region can responsibly recycle their used oil, oil filters and plastic oil containers.

Below is the view from the Campbell Mountain Landfill located in Penticton:

This scenic waste management location accepts residents’ used oil, oil filters and plastic oil containers, as well as almost any other household hazardous waste materials! The hazardous waste materials accepted include:
