Today was a big day for Bubbles…his first trip on the ferry!!!
Our first day in Victoria has been wonderful!
The Island folk have been absolutely lovely to chat with!!

Our first stop was the Mr. Lube on Douglas Street. We’d like to thank them for giving us such a GREAT first impression of the Island! We left them with lots of oil spouts for their customer appreciation day on June 18th… make sure you stop by and pick one up!

Cunningham’s Shell Service was another collection facility we visited today…thanks for posing with us and Bubbles!

The highlight of the day, was most definitely the Hartland Landfill. Can you believe this is what a landfill looks like:

What a fabulous facility! We got our own personal tour and were very impressed with their comprehensive hazardous waste recycling program. If you have any household hazardous waste, and you live in the Greater Victoria Area, this is the facility to bring it to. There is no fee to drop off any of your household hazardous waste materials (and you even get money back for your toilets, shower heads and washing machines). Some household hazardous wastes would be paint, gasoline, flammable liquids, propane tanks, old electronics, batteries, etc. Call to inquire about what materials are accepted: 250.727.3331. Remember EVERY drop of oil makes a difference!
